Thoughts on Matthew 24

Today’s reading: Jeremiah 19-20; Matthew 24

Jesus tells His disciples in Matthew 24 that the temple would be torn down and not one stone would be left upon another, and the Jewish historian Josephus, writing after the Romans destroyed the temple, said that is exactly what happened. So how is the Western Wall of the temple still standing today…?

I remember watching this video a couple years ago that questioned whether the temple was actually built on the Temple Mount as is generally believed today, or if, what people take to be the western wall of the temple was actually the wall of the Roman fortress that was built in Jerusalem. 

I thought it was really interesting and wanted to share. I don’t necessarily agree with every point they make, but it’s thought provoking and is cool to see some of the archaeology going on over in Jerusalem right now:
